1. Maintaining proper charging and discharging of lithium-ion batteries can extend their lifespan. Keeping lithium-ion batteries at 10% to 90% charge level is beneficial for battery protection. This means that when charging batteries in digital products such as mobile phones and laptops, it is not necessary to charge them to their maximum capacity.
Digital products equipped with lithium-ion batteries exposed to direct sunlight or stored in a hot car should ideally be kept switched off. This is because lithium-ion batteries age faster if the operating temperature exceeds 60 degrees Celsius.
Lithium-ion battery charging temperature range: 0~45 degrees Celsius; lithium-ion battery discharging temperature range: 0~60 degrees Celsius.
2. If a mobile phone battery needs to be charged daily, it may be due to a defect in the battery or it may be due for deterioration.
For laptop owners, it is best to remove the battery if the laptop is plugged in for extended periods (the high heat generated during computer use is detrimental to laptop batteries).
3. Generally, 50% charge is optimal for the preservation of lithium-ion batteries.
